Cylon leaders and trauma

By Syragar, in Battlestar Galactica

I have the expansion, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. But I just thought of something while going through the rulebook. According to the rules, cylon leaders are treated differently during the crossroads phase based on location. This introduces an interesting strategy that only cylon leaders can take advantage of. A sympathetic cylon could use his benevolent tokens to help the humans, then jump to the cylon fleet just before the crossroads phase to avoid being boxed. Similarly, a hostile leader could spend all of his antagonistic tokens to try to hinder the humans as much as possible, and try to be on Galactica just before the crossroads phase to avoid being boxed. I wonder if this is something FF intended.

I wouldn't doubt it. The mechanics definitely are amazing when you actually see them in play moving to a place with an NPC is risky, at best, especially given your loyalty cards. I was worried that the Pegasus pieces would be left in the breeze as an afterthought with Exodus. I was quite wrong.
