The Keeper among the Stars.

By thewm, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

Hidden within the Josian reach The Keeper lurks. What he keeps is simple, Xenos. Of course he doesn't keep them near him, he has others keep them. Most often they don't know that is for the keeper. From a cult of Khorne on Fenksworld that feeds it's sacrificies to some horrid pit thing, to the Dark forest of Zumthor where convicts are given a choice to hunt the xenos or die in the attempt. Agents of the keeper secretly record the xenos in their varied settings for their master to watch for his pleasure. He also has hunting parties constantly on the lookout for new targets

The acolytes will first be sent on a mission regarding the chaos cult on Fenksworld. Their first part of the mission is to discover where the cult is then utterly destroy it. In the runis they find a forged ident card and a used passenger ticket from Canopus.

This are my thoughts for the campaign. I plan on the acolytes meeting both hunting agents and agents willing to protect their employer. over the course of about 5 different missions all relating to the Keeper they will have enough information to track him down. Of course by that time the Keeper wil be quite aware of the acolytes activities. The keeper is a noble on Hredrin. I am still fleshing out the first mission. Also as the campaign progresses I will update this topic.

Does the Keeper have any ties to the those other traders in xenos, fierce creatures, dangerous animals and horrible monsters: the Beast House?

Yes the keeper does have connections to several beast houses. After all his greatest enjoyment comes from watching one of his xenos tear some human apart.

After several gaming sessions the story thus far. . .

The acolytes uncover a new chaos cult devoted to Khorne on Fenksworld. After cleansing it with flame, laser, and many small doses of lead clues to the beast houses are uncovered. The acolytes buy their way into an illegal fighting event. After rescuing a young noble fom certian death in the pits they get the next clue, the location of on of the suppliers of foul creatures, and the signet of the noble house involved.

Their next location Zumthor a frontier jungle world. On Zumthor they uncove evidence of abuse of Imperial resources. Imperial prisioners are being divereted to Zumthor to capture dangerous local fauna to be sold to the beast houses. While on Zunthor it is diccovered that the signet's true noble house is discovered. A displaced noble family on the hive world of Canopus. The imperial house on Zumthor is left to the acolytes superiors as to possible sanctions or punishments.

Once on Canopus the acolytes begin their investigation into the noble family in question. Once the acolytes get settled in they are set upon by armed men . . .
