Relatively new to the game

By Master Ciaphas, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Hail all

I bought W:I some time ago, and have had the pleasure of luring my GF to play the game too. Now, she has taken a fancy to the Dwarves, and though she does rather well, it seems that I win most of the time.

Therefore, I would like some advice on how to build a truly OOMPH Dwarf deck. Now, the cards I have available to do so are the following sets:

1 x W:I Core Set

1 x Assault on Ulthuan deluxe expansion set

1 x #1 - #6 of the Corruption Cycle

1 x #1 - #6 of the Enemy Cycle

So, that is in my humble opinion quite a plethora of cards.

I hope that you can help.

My thanks in advance.

Regads,

Master Ciaphas

To make a truly great Dwarf deck one must do the following:

1. Get all of your Dwarf cards together in a stack.

2. Shuffle the stack.

3. Draw 50 cards.

I hope that helped.

Use Grudge Throwers and Reclaiming the Fallen. Balance the costs of your units. Dwarf is pretty great. It's hard to build a bad deck. I've just started to think about thinking about a Dwarf rush deck.

The most important thing that dwarves have going for them is the best resource base in the game. If you start your deck with x3 Mining Tunnels, x3 Ancestral Tomb, x3 Contested Village, x3 Warpstone Excavations, and x3 Innovation you should be in good shape. You will probably want to include x2 Dwarf Rangers, x3 Slayers of Karak Karadin and x3 Master Ruins of Spite for unit control. Dwarves have a ton of great units to choose from and you wont be missing too many of the best ones even though you dont have x3 of every card available. I personally think that the grudge thrower/reclaim the fallen build is the strongest way to build dwarves still but you could go other ways. The biggest thing that you will be missing would be the support card destruction as you would only have access to x1 demolition and x1 burn it down. If you picked up a second core set you'd be in good shape their as well.

This... if you never want to win a game against your girlfriend again.
