Hey everyone. I just picked up a copy of Arkham Horror and played with a few friends. We think it's great. Are the expansions any good? Feel free to post and let me know.

All the expansions are good. In general, big-box (board) expansions are more popular than small-boxes, mostly because they have an expansion board and more investigators, monsters, and AOs.

Well what are you looking for in an expansion?

Thanks for the reply. My main question is the big box (board expansions) do you play them with just the expansion boards and pieces or do you combine them with the basic game?

You ALWAYS use the base board and cards. You can then use any or all the compontents from any expansion.

You are very welcome. These forums are filled with very helpful people. I chime in when I can. This game is very fun but I just wish I had more time to play more often.

Love this game too, but Im still learning, not ready for any expansions at this point.
