Kung-Fu Training negation

By Tader Salad, in UFS Rules Q & A

Can Kung-Fu Training's R be used to negate a block if an action is used? If so would it also negate the breaker on said action card?

It'll negate the block.

With breaker... that's an interesting conundrum. I'd say since KFT cancels all effects of the action card, Breaker is a part of the card and will be negated. You didn't play the card for the ability but it's still an effect on the card.

easier answer: breaker is a response to blocking. the block was negated. no chance to trigger.

well, i mostly concluded that because if the turn player attacks, the opposing player blocks, the turn player declines response, then the opposing player responds with breaker, you could THEN respond with Kung Fu Training to negate the block and the breaker as well.

Side question, when do you play the Breaker ability: at the same time you block with the card, just after you block with the card, or when your opponent attempts to play their next card?

Breaker is played directly after the block has fully resolved, as it is a response in and of it's own right.

Stamp. Breaker is a keyworded response ability which you play in response to playing the card it's present on as a block.

Another question....

The trigger for breaker is the same trigger for reversal correct?

(EDIT - Never mind, post was irrelevant and I can't delete it now.)

No, it isn't. Reversal is a response to your opponent's attack, which was blocked, resolving. Reversal comes way after breaker.

thanks for clarifying tag.

So you don't play a reversal when you block...you play it after an attack that you have blocked is finished resolving.
