I was reading in Radicals Handbook and found something very intresting, i was reading about the Xanthites, and suddenly saw something about the Seven Devils.
I had some basic knowlegde about these things abit about The Crowfather and Balthpomael, but i had always thought of the seven devils as all being Warp entitys.
But when i saw this i saw one of them was named the Night Traveler or the Kin Slayer.
And that confused me alot, in the Haarlock Lecacy the Traveler is named alot, and i have always thought the traveler to be Erasmus, but i have never thought of him being a Creature of the Warp or Deamon Prince or something like that, so i dont know what to think now anyone could try to explain this for me ??
Btw the the text is in radicals handbook on page 96-97
The Night Traveler ??
Hi Buddy,
take it as "confusion by design". FFG (and GW, for that part) would not be the first to simply scatter hints and clues here there only to have something they might pick or later...or never pick up again.
The Haarlock Legacy is over. The ending was an anti-climax. Perhaps they will unleash somebody or something related to Erasmus in the futur. But for now (and for the next year) nothing will come.
And since the final of the Legacy had this hurry-hurry-wrab-up! feel to it; and an ending where it is in the hand of the pc if Erasmus returns or does not, I think personally think we all can lay the whole affair to a quiet grave. Unless you want to house-brew something. I guess not that we will see any furhter official development of the Haarlock topic.
Yeah, it was kind of like what they did with "Lost" the T.V. show. In Lost, the creators were accused of making the plot up as they went along. I was semi-satified with the ending of Lost. I was more disappointed with how little things added up with the whole Haarlock thing, Some things still make no sense. I researched the whole Haarlock/Tyrant Star connection to death. And came to the conclusion( after Dead Stars ) that FFG was indeed making things up as they went along. Which I was'nt too upset about it, as I enjoy making the Haarlock mystery my own. But I felt let down after hours of wasted research and correspondance only to find out that it was a puzzle without a real concrete solution. I would like to see FFG do more with the seven devils. And I have my own theories about thier true identities...**** you FFG! I've been sucked in again! Back to the original heart of this thread...Don't forget. Haarlock could still be classified as a warp entity as ***** SPOILER ALERT***** he MAY have been transformed into a creature of the warp by the end of the Haarlock legacy.

I think the Imperium is just as likely to label extremely powerful xenos entities or powerful heretics as "devils." They don't all have to be actual Daemons.

Intrigueing huh?
It is indeed suggested that one of the 7 devils is The Dark Traveller, the kin-slayer Erasmus Haarlock, but who knows in what form, time, or manner he becomes one of the devils is unknown.
I must politely disagree with the views expressed here on the mysteries FFG seeds around the Haarlock enigma. Ofcourse there is not one true answer, and ofcourse they keep things vague and open-ended. If you want to read more about the Haarlock Legacy, this thread may be of interest to you. There is also a thread about the seven devils and a post-Dead Stars campaign.
