Knights of the Hollow Hill question

By J Mac, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

My question with the Knights of the Hollow Hill agenda is in regards with the Master of Coin title.

Does the agenda cancel out the gold bonus on the title?

I don't think the agenda interferes with the income bonus of a title, as it is inherent to the title (the choice of which is represented by the corresponding figurine) and does not stem from a card you control. The title card is simply for reference.

Hi. Can Taxed Dry be attached to an opponent house card if he's playing The Knights of Hollow Hill agenda?

Condition.

Attach to an opponent's income providing card.
If it is Winter, attached card does not provide an income bonus.
If it is Summer, when you count income you may also count the income bonus on the attached card.

Thank you.

Yes. Why not?

But you won't get any gold from KotHH, since it is the Agenda that gives gold, not the house card, right?

Hm. Dunno. House Cards are not considered to be "in play" (FAQ section 4.10). Attachments are attached to cards "in play" (rule book page 5). So I'd guess it's not possible. Of course, there's the ravens and the chambers that attach to house cards, but those cards specifically allow this option. But hey, I'm just a noob, so I'm probably overlooking something. But my guess would be that it's not possible to put attachments on house cards unless a card specifically says otherwise.

No. The Agenda modifies the House card so that the latter provides the specified boni.

are considered to be "in play," but cannot be removed from play. That's why attachments can be placed on House cards. Agendas are not considered to be "in-play," though.

The Agenda modifies the House card, so in this case, the House card is considered to be the income-providing card, not the Agenda.

Titles are not really card effects. They are game effects that use the cards and/or figurines as reminders. If you don't have either, you can still use the titles. As such, they are not impacted by these things that block card effects.

You have misread that entry in the FAQ.

That I have. A noob *and* functionally illiterate. Oh my. Sorry for the confusion.

So, that means that Taxed Dry is pretty nasty for the KotHH-player, right?

Only if its winter...
