Warp (Navigation) botching

"If a Navigator fails his Navigation (Warp) test and rolls a 9 on either dice, he is thrown off course."

Uh, as far as I know I'm supposed to be rolling a d100. So I assume that means if you roll a 9 in either the tens or the ones digit?

most people roll a d100 with a pair of d10. Make this assumption and the menaing is clear.

They do? I thought everyone used Zoccihedrons! Ah well, thanks anyways.

Aren't they called centihedrons? And most people don't have one. If you are using one, then yes, a 9 in either the tens or ones place works exactly the same.

Those things are horrible. They're biased towards the midrange and take forever to stop 'rolling'.

I have a bunch of wireless devices sitting around the house, so I sit there with a tablet or my iPhone and go to http://www.invisiblecastle.com and just roll 1d100 - [modifier]

That also works. But not everyone has such easy internet access, so once again, the d10s are simply more common.

I used to use them as golf balls for driver practice. I dislike those things with a passion bordering on a Sororitas' passion for burning heretics.
