Bounty Hunter

By Mr. Brogger, in Talisman Home Brews

I was first playing with the thought of making a Hunter, but after some comments on a topic about making a Hunter I started to change my mind and came up with a whole new theme. And here it is - The Bounty Hunter.

I have also wanted to sculpt a dwarf miniature for a long time and think Talisman needs more dwarfs as well.

Please come with comments.

cheers

Oh man I love what you have done here. I love the ideas of cashing in your "bounties" so to speak at the Tavern.

You could also do something for him at the Warlock space.

I do like him a lot though.

If I wanted to print and mount these cards what would the process be? Is there a method for this that the community uses?

Peace, Drenik

Double post sorry.

I'm not certain I'm fully clear on the bounty. Is that really 1G per Enemy Craft or Strength point discarded? That's a lot of Gold! And what about dual attribute enemies? Does he gain 12 gold for say discarding an Eastern Dragon?!

I can see allowing him the use of gold at the Tavern, but the more logical place to be paid a bounty would be the CIty and/or Castle. He's only really going to use that Tavern option once or twice, mostly to get across the river easily, so it doesn't really hurt to have the bounty paid and then used at two different locations.

Hmm, I can see that could bring some confusion. Maybe I change it to 3 gold pr. trophie instead.

Bounty Hunter with a little change.

There's still a bit of problem with him being able to simply BLIP to anywhere in his region to pick off Enemies. Anything left on the board or drawn and then placed somewhere besides the space where drawn becomes his prime target before anyone else. Perhaps another way to go is to allow him to stop short in rolled movement on a space with a face up Enemy? That at least requires him to roll enough movement to get there... otherwise, it's just a teleport that requires a target.

Also, try this wording or some part of it for the cards as is.

===

You may track Enemies and characters in the Inner and Outer regions. Instead of normal movement, move directly to a space in your region with a character or face up Enemy card. If you do so, you may only encounter what you tracked. For a character, roll a die equal to or above its Craft value, or your turn ends immediately.

I took your comments to consideration and made these changes.

Solid! Now that's a character I would play! Potent but with implied limitations, and within Talisman's common simplicity.
