The New Timescape and more

Amazing expansions! Congratulations on both graphical skill and imagination! What are you using to make your cards Strange Eons or Photoshop templates?

All cards, rulesheets and boards are made with photoshop and photoshop elements.

Absolutely beautiful! Well done! I have alot to learn from you. :)

Peace, Drenik

I plan to include Dragonland into my set. But, already I am thinking about what to do when official expansion board will come from FFG that should be put in the same corner of the main board. Any thoughts?

There is no problem in the near future, because it's possible to put the Dragonland board on the City or the Village corner. After the last board expansion is published it's possible to adapt the board or the entrance.

Hojla

I was glancing through cards of The Adventure and came across Two-handed sword and the Whyrmslayer. Looks like they are the same. Except for a name. First I thought one can be acquired in Purchase the other in Adventure deck, but this isn't so. They can be found or purchased both. Am I missing something?

Thanks

I'll be using a plastic sheet that will sit above the main board like a shelf. Probabaly put all of the expansions the as long as I can so players can sith closer to the boards. :-)

I'm sorry if you have been asked this question before, but I cannot figure out how to print these so they match the size of the original cards. thanks

All sheets are optimized for printing, 300dpi. They match exactly the original size!

What is your problem? Try to describe it!

I guess what I really need to know is what paper size and program do you use to print with?

One other little detail, at a guess, is to make sure you turn off any "resize" or "shrink to fit" option in your printer settings. You may get a complaint from your system that the page is bigger that the printer's print area, but the sheet should print just fine, as only white space bleeds outside the print zone.

It's my recommendation you take the files to a print/copy shop. Their machines will get you a better print than any household printer, and... based on many test prints... its cheaper in the long run. I print full sheets of cards for a dollar or less on photo paper, and I can't possibly match that cost in purchased paper and ink.

Oh, but make sure you tell the print shop to turn off resize as well. And the layout most people use for cards should print well on both 11x8.5 and A4 (?) depending on what's used in your part of the world

When printing the board sections (for Timescape or any other expansion) what paper weight is best? Is it best to mount the board pieces on firmer cardboard or Foamcore? Or does it work just as well (in terms of durability, etc.) if it is left on cardstock?

Thanks,

Bruce

My preference is always matt board, such as is used for framing pictures. It is dense and thin at the same time. Get black matt (with black core if possible) and use the non textured side for mounting images and the texture/colored side for the board back. If making a folding board, set your pieces up first and buy some book mending/binding tape to create the back hinge. Print images to mount on photo paper (not photo card "stock"). Use a non-acid glue to avoid yellowing of the images over time.

In place of book tape, you can use duct tape, but it's rather thick and ugly. I do not recommend electrical tape (which comes in black and other colors). It does not bond as well to paper parts as does book or duct tape.
