Pimp my contacts

My Seneschal, the venerable Marius Malloc, Lord of Accounts and keeper of records for the esteemed, if almost extinct, house Maleiaro, has some unspent exp. Aside from his advances along the path of the Xenographer I've been using a few hundred points for contacts, as written in Inquisitors handbook.

Now I was wondering if you, yes I am looking at you Rogue Trader Forum, had any great ideas for useful, funny or storyaiding contacts.

Currently the poor seneschal have no peer talents, but I've been wanting to get some with elite advances, if my GM will permit it. So any ideas for contacts would be appreciated.

-An old book seller in FootFall who might knows a thing of two about the Expance's worlds; could always deal in..less than holy tomes to load his coffers once in a while

-a Barman; always a source of rumours, info and can always introduce you to toher contacts all over his area of influence (either space station, city or region on some planet etc etc)

-Homeless people; no one cares about them, but boy do they see things doing nothing all day.

-Guild/union leader: because hard to unload/load/repair/modify a ship when none of the workers want to work due to union rules or whatever..or they might work a bit better if they are working on your ship.

Lesser Crime Bosses of Footfall- Cheap and could provide useful info for contacting the various criminal elements in the expanse and Cold Trade.

Adeptus Mechanicus chief explorator- Because everyone always needs to stop by a station for repairs or the occasional lance battery.

Wrath Umboldt- He is already outlined in the Edge the Abyss supplement. He is basically a Rogue Trader who's fortunes have been cursed to failure and damnation. He is well versed in the Expanse in many different ways and would make a good mentor/guide/contact for the party to find random leads throughout the expanse and for how to deal with certain situations if they happen to need an experts opinion on an endeavor.

Two cold trade contacts from differing criminal groups, both of which want exclusive contracts with your Rogue Trader. Each group wants a monopoly on the cold trade, and will kill to get it. If one contact finds you're dealing with the other, things will get dicey.

And one (or more) from the Inquisition or Arbeits, who wants gene samples and pict records of these cold traders. If either criminal find out you have a contact with the law or the Inquisition there will be blood.

One criminal could be from the Amaranthine Syndicate. If your GM has Disciples of the Dark Gods, have him look there for background information.

The other could be from the Kasballica. You GM can find information on these criminals in Edge of the Abyss and Lure of the Expanse.

Both of these organizations are large, and have interests in the Calixis Sector and the Expanse.

And/or your GM could devise their own criminal organizations.
