Both my friend and I new to the CoC game, and so we are not sure if we were playing this card correctly. Specifically, the question arose when one of us played 'A Single Glimpse' on the player controlling the 'Adult Deep One'. Is the target of the effect the opposing player (and therefore the Adult Deep One cannot cancel the effect), or is the target of the effect the character (because the opposing player targets the character, and therefore the character can cancel the effect)? It seems like this would allow the circumvention of other cards as well (like the payment for the Cthulhu character from the core set). The FAQ really didn't answer the question, and a search of this forum really didn't turn up anything. Sorry, if this has been gone over before, but we are new.
Thanks for your help.
