Monster Lariat + loops

By Wafflecopter2, in UFS Rules Q & A

Monster Lariat: "E: If this attack deals damage, for the rest of the turn while this card is in your card pool, draw 1 card when you play a foundation (not as a block)."

If I hit my opponent with a Lariat, add it to my hand, and hit my opponent several more times with the same Lariat, can I draw multiple cards when I play a foundation? The wording is just like Feelings of Friendship, which stacks with itself as long as it goes back into the card pool.

Also, say I throw a Lariat, BRT their block, then throw it again and they full block/redux to 0. Can I still draw 1 card after I play a foundation?

Short Version: This doesn't work at all.

If you use Monster Lariat's Enhance, it deals damage, you return it to your hand, and repeat the process again, you will only draw one card after playing a foundation. Monster Lariat's enhance requires its card (i.e., "this card") to remain in your card pool for it to work, and it will lose track of "this card" when you move it to an out-of-play zone (e.g., the hand). Even though effects exist independently from their source, effects that reference their source as a contigent restriction must be able to identify the source until the effect expires. If the source is removed from an in-play zone and later returned, the effect will "fizzle" because it must be able to differentiate its true source from a copy of its source (to prevent abuse).

A simple version of my explanation is that the game state no longer recognizes the returned Monster Lariat as the effect's original source, even though both players may know that it is the effect's source.
