Blood of the martyrs faith power soul storm ?

By Xenos66, in Dark Heresy House Rules

okay while reading the book i have come across a problem which os proberaly to do with my error so I thought I would ask.

when soul storm is used by a charecter the do damage to all those within the area. it specifies that damage is done equal to the amount of corruption points the charecters in the area have. under deamons it specifies "they will ALSO take D10 energy damage" this means that deamons must take damage before the aditional stuff. but deamons dont have a corruption value so how much damage do they take.

More importantly if they done then this power wont stop most deamons ad D10 is enough to hurt on quiet alot but most can shrug it off and carry on charging.

so yer any ideas or have i missed something really simple ??

I think this was covered elsewhere, but here i go:

-Psykers (demons can be psykers too) take 1d10 energy damage and make a Will test or take another 1d10 energy damage and lose their powers.

-Demons take 1d10 energy damage and make a Will test or lose their powers (thats a 2nd test to lose their powers)

-All this damage bypasses armor and toughness.

-This is done over a huge radius (equals Will bonus X 10m)

-All the damage can be doubled with the burning of a fate point.

Now take into account the "warp instability" of demons and you have just done a LOT of damge to a LOT of demons over a LOT of area and have most likely hamstringed them by denying them the use of their powers.

I didn't mention corruption because demons just don't have any. Also, if the demon doesn't have a psy rating chances are its just cannon fodder.

Also failed to mention that Dæmons with a WP of 50+ are stated to be completely unaffected by Soul Storm.
