I'm confused...

By napoleonWilson, in Battlestar Galactica

I am confused about Pegasus. I get that New Caprica is not going to be used in this expansion, (yeah, I get you can if you dont want to do the Ionian Nebula blah blah blah), but what about the Pegasus itself. Do the humans get to have the Pegasus ship board if they are using any or all of the three different features of the Exodus expansion. There is no mention of the Pegasus as a ship being attached to the game board. I figure it has to because it has the treachery icon on it and has to attach to the main board if nothing else for continuity.

whatcha think??

I don't think Pegasus has to be removed if you use Exodus. You might be even able to use New Caprica with Exodus if you don't make the ionian nebula your final destination. I don't know yet, but I can't wait for its release. babeo.gif

It's probably not mentioned in Exodus incase you don't own Pegasus. Since you don't need to have Pegasus to play Exodus.

I think it's definitely legal to use Pegasus with Exodus. In fact, I would argue that the humans would have an awfully hard time winning the game without Pegasus if there were two Cylons in the first half of the game who revealed and the fleet board was in play.

The fleet board is wonderfully brutal and unforgiving.

I also think you can play New Caprica as long as you don't use the Ionian Nebula as Innsmouth mentioned.

It says on Page 5, for Expansion Setup, "Before setting up the core game"...

So after that, you would would set up the core game, and I believe the Pegasus expansion is "after you setup the core game" you add that stuff. I do not believe Pegasus (ship) is omitted, it is just not effected by the pre-game setup. Note that the cylon fleet board goes to the left of the game board, so as not to conflict with Pegasus (ship) or new Caprica.

That being said, our resident Exodus Cylon thinks that Pegasus Ship just kills the cylons chance for winning. Oh, and he also won the two games he played, where he was a cylon both times. <grin>

I just bought Exodus and do not own Pegasus yet.

But after reading the Exodus 'Cylon Fleet option' (which sounds amazinggggg) I've decided humans should have pegasus for the extra options so my group will probably be using Pegasus and the Cylon Fleet option to kick things off.
