Brig Question

By Magique, in Battlestar Galactica

I just have a quick question about the brig and how to get out of it...

While a character is in the brig, they don't draw any Crisis Cards, and they can only add one skill card to a skill check, correct? To get out of the brig, you have to pass a skill check. So, does that mean if you're in the brig, you can't add anymore than one of your skill cards to help you get out?

I've read in some of the topics on these forums that it's extremely hard to get out of the brig (unless you're sent to sickbay or reveal yourself as a cylon), but I never really understood why until I made the connection that I asked about. Basically, if you can only add one of your skill cards to help yourself in getting out of the brig, the rest is luck? It all then comes down on the Destiny Deck to help you out, which chances are slim on that one.

Unless, of course, other players can help or hinder you when getting out of the brig by adding their own skill cards to it. If that's legal, we've been playing it wrong all along :)

Thanks in advance!

That is correct. Being send to the Brig is a very harsh punishment.

When you call for a vote to get out of the brig, everyone plays cards like a normal skill check, also when activating the admirals quaters or the president thingy....
