Anyone pre-order the guides or vaults through Amazon in the U.S.?

By frycook, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I'm just curious if any of them have arrived yet since apparently they are in gaming stores in the U.S. The dates on Amazon still say pre-order, delivering Jan 11.

thanks,

~Fry

I did. Delivery (free) is scheduled around the 24th. Long time to wait - but cheaper.

I did too. Mine says the same thing... that they are gonna be released on the 11th and expected delivery is 18th-24th of Jan. I just hope that because everyone seems late in getting the Creature Guide and the Creature Vault that Amazon wont be delayed in getting theirs. Can't wait to get 'em!

Count me in as well. Amazon is always later; not sure if this is FFG wanting to give smaller shops a chance to compete, or if it just reflects the size of the Amazon order.

It's also not unheard of for them to get multiple delays. I got my Edge of Night mid-December, even though I preordered, due to the shipping date getting pushed back several times.

That's the reason why I don't trust and don't buy at amazon. They always have a delay. You will see the G&V next year and I got my in december 2010 just before Christmas.

It probably will be mid to late January, but I'll save a lot of money over the course of the game's lifespan.

I'm just not in enough of a rush to tack another 50% onto the price, but I can certainly understand wanting to if someone had the desire and the income to do so.

You know Darret I just don't like to wait too long for expansions. That's one of the reasons why I don't buy at amazon. My FLGs has does always faster. gui%C3%B1o.gif

If you have the patience, Amazon is the way to go. But, don't trust their delivery dates for FFG. It may arrive on 1/11, but if your order's on the 'back end' of the line you might miss out and get your status changed to backordered with a 3 month window for delivery (as I did not too long ago).

Anybody ever order from Troll and Toad? Their prices seem competitive to Amazon.

If my FLGS doesn't have something, I usually use Noble Knight. Even across the country, they ship very quickly.

sorry i couldn't get to my computer til now but i appreciate everyone's answers. thanks.
