Cheesing out with portals

Is there a rule anywhere or ruling that keeps players from camping portals. IE jump back from town take a shot, jump back to town. I had a group cheese out Narthac the Giant. I thought I could get around this by closing the rune door, but monsters can't close rune doors.

This is absolute garbage. If there isn't, I will move the portal to the dead end on quest one where there is only gold.

If you are talking of RTL portals, a player cannot play anymore when a hero enters in it (he is removed from the board). He must wait until all the heroes are in the portal, or they return to the city.

No, sorry. I was talking about Glyphs back to town. I didn't read that they can only be used once per turn. Crisis averted. It's our second game. This is by far the most fun I've ever had with a board game.

Yes, the once per turn rule is important.

Also, they errata'd to allow named monsters to close rune-locked doors (as well as opening them). But that probably wouldn't help much in quest 1.
