iPad App for Investigators micromanagement highly sought after

By barbalex, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Dear FFG,

Please hear my request, desire. I believe that the time is ripe for creation of an iPad app for the micromanagement of the investigators. Something that would reduce the hassle of dealing with all the bits necessary for each character on an already very crowded game table.

Having all the investigator sheets loaded up along with possibilities of adding allies, items, cards, curses, etc would create an awesome tool to help AH players and enhance their fun and overall game experience. No more fear of having your settings annihilated by a wrong move that sends the bits flying on the floor.

We may not be yet at the point where we could play the full AH on iPad and maybe we don't even want to get there. But we do live in this revolutionary age of electronic gadgetry that can magically enhance and ease our repetitive tasks and chores.

An entire database of cards available in the game could be loaded up and made easily accessible to individual players that use the app. Not only extremely helpful, but also how cool would that be?

I know I would purchase a tool like that in an instant. What are the rest of the AH enthusiasts thinking about this?

I think an app (preferably iPhone) that has all the location and Mythos cards in it would be nifty. You could which expansion you're playing with or want to include and it will give you a random encounter without having to shuffle the 7 (or more) card deck each time. That would clear a lot of space off the gaming area and make random encounters a bit more random. Also, only one player would need a compatible device that could be passed around or stay with a designated "game master".
