Possible of removing Hit tokens, and Dark Card Question

By Spieler324969, in Android

Hi,

is there a possibility for removing hit tokens of suspects?

Also if i play a Dark Card, do i need to tell the Player the consequences of light and dark tactics before he choose?

Offtopic:

is there a way to search in the forums only in 1 subforum?

thanks in advance

Removing hit tokens is possible, but rare. As far as I remember, there's one event and one light card (Floyd's) which let you do it. Regarding fights, I'm not sure it's spelled out anywhere, but I'd be inclined to say they should see the consequences before choosing unless you're going for maximum immersion.

I was wandering the same during my game with my friends and i would say also it's up to you, but i prefer to know what the light and dark fights end up for

There are some light cards that also get your investigator into a fight, so unless you don't mind a disparity between the light and dark cards, I'd say you should always read the full text out.

The mechanical answer is that dark cards, when played, are played face up so that the player can see what's played on them. So, they can see the tactics.

thx for replies,

so if someone trying to kill your suspect there not much you can do to work against.

we played with darkcards must not read loud cause you dont know what happens if you fight somebody and using light or dark tactics.

Unfortuantely, you are playing it wrong. The player that you are playing it on is allowed to read all of the card. They should know the result of their choices so that they can make a decision. Also, once people have played it a few times, they will remember what some of the cards do, so by not reading it out, you are giving an advantage to the players who have memorised the cards, which is unfair on those who havent.

As far as the hit token question, I think the best defense is to prevent the other players from knowing who your suspect is.

I think hit tokens are rare enough that there shouldn't be too many removal options.
