I followed the link to the article on the Toad and it said I can get some promo cards from my local games shop by filling a form, but there is no form!

Similarly, the pre-order for the upgrade pack is a broken link.

Apparently the site still has some bugs in it. Including not letting FireFox's spell-check run correctly...

What about people like me who live in the bowels of hell -- Australia -- can we pre-order directly from the FFG website and get the bonus cards?

I don't like the whole idea of Promo cards anyway. They should just be included.

I'm guessing the site went live a bit too fast for the form. I also suspect that if you get the form in in a reasonable amount of time, you'll get the cards.

There were promos for 4th as well. IF I remember, they were going to be available in the 1st expansion. I don't remember if BI ever did give it a name or if it was the Reaper at all. Hopefully they are just sneak peeks and no one misses out.

the first edition of the the 4th had a bonus card it was the arena , i heard that that card will be on the reaper expansion.

the german edition of the 4th re had to promo cards. they were not in the pack they were give separatly. so it could be that that cars from the reaper expansion or will come later.

ffg is not flyingfroog they said they will not mare different card their promo cards had only an alternativ pic.

BI's promo cards were in fact Arena and Rod of Ruin.

So, the promo cards will be previews with different art then? If that's so, no biggie. I can dig it.

Let's hope they change the Instructor when it is released in an expansion. It is way too good and will change the game too much if you can simply buy strength or craft for the duration of the game.

I went into my local gaming store today and they had no clue when the revised 4th was coming out (in fact their computer told them 2013) so I was without luck trying to preorder a copy there.

I have noticed on Amazon (~$38), Target (~$38), Sears (~$39) and Barnes and Noble (~$50+, I don't remember exact price for this one it was in the 50s though) that you can preorder and the date I have seen most often is December 17th. Anyone know how true this date is? The one thing I have to wonder is if you can still get the promo cards if you preorder from a place online. From the sounds of the news article about the Toad put up a few days ago it makes it sound like the only way to get the promo cards is to preorder from a store in person and pick it up in person so you can give them the form. I hope that is not the case!

I guess all will become clear when they update the page with the form you actually require to preorder (fingers crossed).

One for customers to fill out and take to their FLGS and the other for retailers to order supplies from FFG....

I'm glad the promo cards are just alternate artwork. I'd hate to think I missed a cool addition to the game because I didn't pre-order etc. I've spent considerable time and money collecting 3 different editions of Talisman and nothing bugged me more than trying to get my hands on something that was only a promo and having to pay extortionary price just to get it.

Agreed on the Instructor not being overpowered. There's already plenty to take it away and we haven't really seen anything from the Reaper expansion, yet. Also, it's not going to do any good when Ol' Grim's taking his coffee break on that space ...

I have to say, this promo ---- is starting to really starting to irritate me. I don't mind if there are alternate artwork promos, or if the promos will be released in future sets, but to have cards that can only be gotten if you pre-order at an FLGS goes against the whole reason I buy boardgames. I went to the only store in my city that would even stock Talisman. They said they didn't have plans on stocking it But what was more worrying it that he did even know FFG was running with Promo cards. I was telling him what is going on. He said he was going to call FFG and find out what's going on, and asked me to come back next week to find out what he can do.

I'll update you on next Tuesday when I go back. Let's hope he can get them, otherwise I have NO chance of getting the cards.

If they are just different artwork, I can live with missing out, but it stucks to miss out on cards, just because you have no stores near you that stocks the game

l live in England will l be able to get the promotion cards if l order from a shop in England?

I have taken the form to two places here in San Antonio and neither of them knew what do to. Anyone in the Texas area taken the form somewhere that knows what is going on?

Is there going to be any other way to get these promos aside from this form? It doesn't look like my game store will take these either.

Thanks for the link to this! I printed out my form and will e-mail my FLGS in a few minutes. I'm not sure I'll be able to GET there by the 12th (long story), but I'm betting they'll pull some cards for me...!

If there's a gaming store within 20 miles of my house, I'm clueless. I haven't stepped into an actual gaming store in probably 10 years. I'd like to be able to pre-order through FFG directly and get my promo cards that way. I don't think that's unreasonable, is it?
