Deathwatch Gear Cards

Agreed, in collaborative efforts. I'm not collaborating with anyone (save FFG depending on how you look at it). I'm not trying to shut other folk out and stop them working on it either though. I'm not restricting anything from anyone as I've already said I'm happy to make the particulars available...

Call me an optimist, but I don't plan to stop working until FFG stop making DW.... I've already been at this project since the core book came out (more or less) and have completely rebuilt all the cards at least once.

are these available still somewhere? Megaupload being down and all...

Check out the first post in this thread.

As for open source, it's always more reliable. Open source doesn't depend on whether the founder lives or dies and everybody can easily create their own branches. In the case of my Gear Cards, it depends on having a version of MSE that can open the files only. Plus swap out images you don't like or update stats yourself if a new errata comes along. Not arguing that my cards are better, only pro-open source.

Given that I'm happy to supply the base files and a link to where to get the app (I'll also have to supply the files I altered), your point is somewhat moot.

At a base level, the only difference between us is that you distributed the core files first (which is fine for what you want to achieve) while I went for a more immediately usable format (which is what I wanted to achieve)

Now if we could work together, we could rule this galaxy, as cardmaker and cardmaker!

Sounds like heresy. ;) Your card-set will probably more well-maintained. I haven't been touching mine in many months.

@ Durandel

I like the PDF's but on the Black Templars Righteous Zeal it says they are fanatically devoted to the Merpror. :)

Hehe whoops! Shall fix it as soon as I finish this honours project interim report! Thanks for the heads up though matey!

Fixed! Anymore for anymore?

(I got my report done woo!)

Really like these! What template are you using to create them (looks very similar to 4e power cards)? I'm thinking of working something similar up for BC.

Thanks in advance,

AJC

I use a wee program that goes by the name of 4e Power Toolkit . I had to edit some of the datafiles though for it. Would be happy to zip up install and email it too you. It's freeware anyway. Not rightly sure where I found it : Ah wait yes found it!

4e Power Toolkit (not my work)
