dice start to break

By Lother_Storm, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hello all,

We slowly have the problem that the dice start to break and be bought 4 different sets (2 times basic box, players addon and one time only the dices) Does someone else also has the same problem?

The emperor protects (but not the dices it seams)

well, to be honest they are not of a highest quality. I got some first markes that suggest they might fall apart sooner or later

they should give licence to qworkshop, as they did for arkham horror....

How do dice break?

In each case, I have 1 core set, and 4 player sets. Nothing even close to dice that look like they might fall apart.

That's sucky. How to you roll them? I have a soft chessex grid map over my table when we game (yeah, no longer using it for measuring but can still sketch) so the dice aren't hitting a hard surface when rolled.

Call FFG and they will send you new ones.

(You must be rough on your dice! I've been gaming 30+ years and have never seen a die break.)

I was talking more about cracks here and there on edges

I think this is a known issue (from FFG's point of view). When I got my box set last year for Christmas (purchased from Amazon.com, I believe) there was an extra set of conservative and reckless dice along with a note that the extra dice were included because the originals didn't meet quality control standards.

So far I haven't had any problems with either the originals or the replacements, but I use a felt-lined dice tray for rolling. The dice issue may have been confined to a certain run, but since it sounds like they're aware of the issue, I don't imagine it would be too difficult to request replacement dice.

I'd assumed the extra set of red and green dice was because the symbols are so much harder to read on the other ones. At least, on the original red and greens in my boxed set, the eagles and hour glasses (boons and delays) were poorly formed and not completely inked. The replacement set had slightly different shaped symbols, and they were easier to read because of it.
