TERRAN`S COMBAT CARD 4/18 SC

In the Terran`s combat card there are 2 that have GROUND SPLASH DAMAGE", one of then (4/18) are for a Firebat and a Marine. This splash damage can only destroy a Marine, Zealot, or Zerling unit. Also contains a description of the weapons of the Firebats.

The Marine unit does not have the ability to Splash... So, the Marine can use this ability, because the card has no restriction to use?

The other one is the card 6/18 for a Vulture and a Firebat, in this card the splash... have the same effect than 4/18 card, but in the explanation only decribes the Vulture`s weapons. Anyway both units have Splash d...

In the original game the marine has 1 splash damage card and the firebat has 2 splash damage cards, there are no restriction to these cards. In broodwar the 6/6 marine splash damage card gets changed, so that only the firebar has splash and the marine not. But if you play with only the original game, then yes the marine has also splash.

Yes, in the base game, the splash damage from the two Firebat cards can be used by a Marine and a Vulture, respectively; I don't like that either.

Not exactly; if the Brood War rules are correct (I don' own it yet), card #6 isn't revised, so in Brood War not only the Firebat has splash damage from the beginning, but also the Vulture, and only the Marine splash damage is removed.

Your right HëllRÆZØR, the Vulture shares the card with the Firebat, and that is not replaced. I did not mention the Vulture earlier. I heard that the marine has no longer splash damage. I am not sure what cards are returned instead.

I have not BW yet but I like the change!

Ya i didn't like that either in the original game. In the original game the only real point to get a firebat instead of a marine is a firebat had a tiny amount more attack/health, and had 2 splash damage cards, to 1 of the marine- all for 1 more gas and they can't attack air.

In BW, the firebat has a little more attack than what he had in the original, and now has 3 splash damage cards, to the marine's 0. So now he sees more playing time, still not great- but solid, and i would say fixed.

Seems reasonable, but I don't like the new restriciton to Zerglings/Marines/Zealots on all Firebat-Splashes...

I don't quite understand what you mean - it isn't a new restriction that Firebat splash damage only affects Zerglings/Marines/Zealots. Or did I completely misread your post?

Lol, sorry. What I wanted to say is: The Firebat is strengthend a littlebit, but very restricted due to the fact that his splash can only destroy the cheap units.
