Sharing fan-made maps?

By elyeti, in Tannhauser

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question: would it be OK to share some fan-made maps here?

We have designed several big maps (print size= 84x80 cms / 300dpi) that you might like to check.

Yeah, but... is FFG OK with this?

I do not know what is the policy of the company about sharing amateur material.

We're not sure FFG reads this fourm, but other people have posted map, etc, and no one's in trouble yet.

OK then!

Stay tuned :)

FFG definitely does read the forums, although they appear to have implemented a policy about not directly responding here since the good old days.

As far as homebrew content goes, FFG is one of the more open-minded companies in that regard. They've not only allowed but publically endorsed a few things that I would've thought the average corporation would want to stomp out. There are some lines that would be inappropriate to cross (republishing the V2 rules for free somewhere, for example) but as far as stuff you made up on your own, I've never seen them complain. Most of the game forums even have a separate sub-forum for homebrewed content. Short of a letter from the CEO saying "it's cool guys" that's about as explicit as you can get. =)

That and somebody made a sticky thread that has links to lots of amazing fan made stuff. And my stuff, too.
