Finished Deck and Automatic Elimination

By brightknight_216, in CoC Rules Discussion

Dear all,

I'm trying to construct a milling deck using a Yog/Hastur combination. I want to ask whether a opponent will lost the game automatically when he has no cards in his decks. Or does the game continue until the opponent's cards on board are destroyed.

The opponent will lose. The rules specify:

If at any point a player has no cards remaining in his deck, he is immediately eliminated from the game and his opponent wins the game.

I do not have the rules right in front of me but it goes something like this: "If you have no cards in your deck to draw during your draw phase you lose." Like I said, that is a paraphrase from memory but it is the gist of the rule. In short, you do NOT need to wipe the board of cards to win if they have nothing to draw.

Ha, Professor just swooped me on the (more correct) answer to your question! gui%C3%B1o.gif

Good luck with your deck construction. I actually enjoy playing my Hastur/Yog mill deck the most. It's very hard to play correctly as there are a lot of tricky decisions to make and I find that results in a very enjoyable game. Oddly... even when I lose, it's enjoyable as it leaves me thinking about what I did wrong and ways to fix it.

Dear Kallisti,

Thanks for the encouragement. Will perhaps post my deck construction on the forum and report on how my deck did. happy.gif
