At night, Julia Brown sometimes dreams of her past life, of what it was like to be human.

The waves part and The Summons of the Deep expansion cycle for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game concludes this Spring with the re-release of The Thing from the Shore and The Path to Y'ha-nthlei.

As previously announced, the popular Summons of the Deep expansion cycle returns this Winter with the re-release of its six Asylum Packs, now upgraded to the new 60-card format, featuring 3 copies each of 20 unique cards.
In addition to increasing from the 40-card packs of the original printing, the reprint of The Thing from the Shore and The Path to Y'ha-nthlei Asylum Packs will also incorporate the errata and clarifications of the current FAQ.
In The Thing from the Shore, heavy emphasis is placed on the skill check. This Asylum Pack highlights the Syndicate's special talent for skill adjustment through Tear Gas and Friend of the Family, as well as Hastur's removal capabilities through Vaporous Isle and Shadow Company. The Thing from the Shore also features other interesting and counter-intuitive cards like perennial favorites Endless Interrogation and Parallel Universe.
In The Path to Y'ha-nthlei, tortured sleepwalker Julia Brown's journey arrives at its destination through transformation, providing the backdrop for this Asylum Pack's theme of change and metamorphosis. Cthulhu's Scalethorn Asylum and Eye of the Deep bring the rise of the Deep Ones, while allies become Attachments through the Syndicate's Expendable Muscle and Hastur characters become The Thing Behind You. Nothing is as it appears to be when walking (or swimming) the path to Y'ha-nthlei.
Aside from cards based on the theme of each Asylum Pack, The Summons of the Deep is completed by a variety of cards that will enhance each faction's various strengths and strategies.
As Winter becomes Spring, The Summons of the Deep will conclude with more deck-building options for new players and veterans alike. This Spring, accept the Summons, come to Innsmouth, and take the plunge!
