Expanded Character Sheets

By talesind, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Any word on when the new expanded Character sheets from the players guide will be available to download?

Failing that anyone got a link to a good scanned copy or a simliar sheet?

Thanks

I'm not particularly pleased with the current version (requires too much crap on the table and is not well-thought out IMHO). I'm waiting to see what the "componentless" version looks like.

Barring that, I'm using the Liber Fanatica Strange Eons version by Sunatet. You'll have that shortly ;)

When it comes out, i'll make a fillable PDF similar to the one i made for the current version (available at www.GitzmansGallery.com ).

I'm looking forward to the expanded, more traditional character sheet, i agree with E that the current version is just a bit wonky.

There is no component-less version of the game. Just a couple of pages with tips on how to deal with less. I'm even surprised they did not suggest using normal dice to track recharges (d6/d10), Wounds (d12/d20), etc.

The sheet has spaces to write the number of Fatigue/Stress, Wounds/Corruption/Fortune (lacking for Power/Favor but it's less frequently needed and easily fixed). They suggest using your own bits (pennies or whatever) to track recharges, but i'd rather use standard dice as said above.

The GM Guide has d100 tables for all Wounds/Insanities/Miscasts/Corruptions/Diseases, etc.

Even though I'm totally one with the chits and bits, I'm a bit disappointed that FFG haven't come up with something a bit more different with their componentless concept. I thought they might actually look at a rules change, giving someone a number of action points per fight or something, so you'd only need to keep a tally of your remaining action points for the fight, and the recharge rate would become the cost of using the action for that fight.

I realise though that any significant change of rule would mean chit players and chitless players (if the rules were actually different) couldn't really game at the same table.

It looks though like cards (at least the action cards) are going to remain a requirement of the game, which i think is fine because having those rules in your hand instead of a book is a break through gaming, in my mind anyway, but i think those that were looking for a cardless game are going to be disappointed.

Do the books go onto suggest you can (effectively) play with only the 3 guides? where does it suggest you put your tracking pennies if you don't have card!?!?

It's not about rule changes, but a more traditional approach for players (PHB/DMG/MM + pen & paper). You can play with only the 3 Guides, you just need the dice.

There are all action descriptions in the books. Also the 8 Basic Cards are on one page to be photocopied if you want physical cards. There are some blank action card exemple too along with the character sheet (to be photocopied) so the players can make them from the previous descriptions.

The "WFRP Lite" chapter of 2 pages is p.138 & 139
