Loved the game back in the day. VERY happy it has continued in the LCG spot. Seen some players at Gen Con. Was wondering tho, ANYONE play in the Wisconsin/Northern IL area?

from what i know, there are a few who play in milwaukee, though i don't know how regularly; same situation in madison. there's a decent-sized group who play in wausau, too. where are you from?

Lordofbrewtwon still pops up on the boards every now and then - and he and complord both went to Days of Ice and Fire I hear. I knwo there is a great veneu called Misty Mountain Games in Madison that was once a hot bed of Thrones activity in the Badger state. You might want to check with them and see if there is an OP set up there.

No official OP in Madison, - Complord & I play about once a month, trying to play more. We've been playing at the West Side Pegasus for anyone familar with Madison (Misty Mountain doesn't carry cards anymore, and 1 owner forced another out, service for non-Magic people has gone way downhill).

There's a chance I'll be moving back to Milwaukee this Summer - there was never really a meta when I lived there 3 years ago, but that may have changed (Luke probably knows more than I would) - check out Board Game Barrister (a store in the BayShore Mall), and there's another store on the South side (can't remember name/had moved/changed locations @ 4years ago).

Boy, I miss the private mail of the old boards - is there a function like that now I'm just not aware of?

i'll be making a temporary move (~1 year duration) back to wisconsin in 4-5 months likely madison, but i'll be back to see my parents and friends in milwaukee plenty. when that time comes we shall gather the players and unite to form a grand wisconsinite meta...

To anyone who lives in Wisconsin and is currently playing AGOT:

I'm starting to work on my plans for moving back to WI at the end of May/beginning of June, and with the recent announcement of the 2011 AGOT Regional Championship season I'm trying to determine whether it would be worth trying to hold a regional in Madison on June 4 or June 11. I know there are plenty of you out there, playing in Madison, Milwaukee, Wausau, and random other places in the state; so even if we can't get a regional together for some specific date in June, I'm still interested in uniting the various WI playgroups after I return. So if you see this message, shoot me an email or an IM and we'll carry on the conversation from there (I think creating a listserv via Google Groups or something might be in order).

While not WI, I'm in DeKalb which is fairly Northern in the scope of Illinois....

Guys, Complord and I play from time to time in Madison at the West side Pegasus games. There used to be more of us - but life gets in the way. We used to play at Misty Mountain Games - a nicer venue - but they don't carry the product anymore/had an ownership change that has affected service negatively IMO.

Anyway - Complord (Jesse) and I (Jason) would welcome any new players - just friend us, or check out the Pegasus games site (they usually have an LCG night the first Tues of the month)? I've got a ton of theme decks, so Complord & I can go pretty easy on new players (you might get beat at first, but that would probably change pretty quickly).

I'm also up for just playing at someone's place while drinking a few cold ones.

Indeed, there is an LCG night at Pegasus. Everytime Jason and I have appeared on that night it was pretty empty. Regardless, Jason and I are pretty flexible at play times so just let us know what works best for you.

I recently picked up the boxed set and was looking to see if there was a Madison group going! Glad I found some folks.

I played back when the CCG first game out at Misty, and loved the game. Still do but the scene kinda died and I sold off all my old cards at a Orgins one year for a pretty penny.

But now I'm looking at getting back in! I can be reached here or at [email protected] if you want to chat more. I'll have to try and swing by some Tuesday(Warmachine night at Misty though) and see whats going on.
