Reduce this card's cost by 2 if you have a quest in play.

==========================================================================================================
Some powerful stuff here. Advanced Engineering looks extremely useful for Control-style decks, along with the highly anticipated Dark Elf Support card, Soul Stealer (Wow, at that card). We finally get to start causing some ruckus with Chaos and Diseases thanks to Beast of Rot (yay!), and the new Orc Support card One Orc's Scrap... provides Destruction with an alternate version of Order's Mining Tunnels. We're still (sadly) stuck waiting for a very necessary (imho) Destruction-based Tactic Canceler and hopefully we'll get one sooner, rather than later. Grail Knight gives us another Knight for the recently boosted Knight theme for Empire. The lone Quest in this set, Ancient Debts Repaid , just further cements the overall potency of the top-rated Dwarf decks (for good or ill, it depends on your perspective, I suppose). The new Dark Elf unique hero, Angi'arie , is pretty darn nasty, too.
Yeah, I can't wait to play Dark Elf with those new cards. I think they got the best of the bunch this time around.
(Since Soul Stealer is not worded as an action, if I steal a Lobber Crew, can they still respond to it?)
I think the best card High Elf got was Assassin's blade.
A lot of these cards were pretty thoughtful, stuff like Grail Knight is a nice addition. This is one of my favorite packs.
Thanks for the spoiler.
Honestly I can't believe how High Elves' cards are good....
8. High Elf Support - Dragon Armour - 2R, 2HE - "Attachment. Attach to a target HE unit. ACTION: When attached unit defends, draw a card."
;D;D;D craaaaaaaaaazy good. it let's you DRAW 1 CARD for ONLY 2 RESOURCES! a must have in every deck. it's so **** good i will even beg the devs so that they cancel 'target HE unit' and make it 'target order unit'. You sure that only HE deserve this awesome card?
Let's compare it to firstly OATHSTONE, which is dwarf's attachement for cost of 1.: attach to a target unit u control. when target unit is destroyed draw 4 cards.
Who will help me to decide which card is better? This one is tricky...
Maybe compare with an attachement for a cost of 2. Maybe Great Book of Grudges? It gives 2 power to a target unit and when it is destroyed you deal 6 indirect dmg. Similar mechanic to 7. High Elf Support - Moon Staff of Lileath - 2R,3HE - "Attachment. Weapon. Attach to a target HE Unit. ACTION: When attached unit attacks or defends, deal 2 indirect damage to each opponent."
It is really hard to decide whether dwarves or h.elves cards are better....
I think Advanced Engineering is going to be a sleeper hit. It allows you to manipulate your cards much more than this game has allowed. Even if you're only drawing one card a turn, with two or three of these on the table, you can make sure you get the best card in the bunch. I can also see this card as an assist to numberless graves.
Imho Angi`arie's ability is useless. It would be much better if her action was:
"Action: At the beginning of the target opponent's turn, treat target unit's text box as though it were blank until the end of the turn"
I have to agree that the new DE hero may turn out to be fairly underwhelming. Deffinitely looking forward to soul stealer though. On the topic of advanced engineering, I think I will be putting this in/trying it in every deck, pretty close to a staple card imo.

Only real things that came to mind was Counterstrike units and Slayers of Karak Kadrin, since both specifically work vs attacking units. Blanking Swordmasters of Hoeth/Dragonmage makes killing them more feasible.

Well, she's only costs 4. Has good HP, as well as combat presence. I don't think she's bad at all, especially since DE doesn't have too many heavy hitters anyway.
Textbox includes traits right? If so, that means you can soul steal heroes, use them a turn and feed them to the slave pens.
I assume Soul Stealer wouldn't melt off after your turn ends, right? Since the card only says "attach to a non-hero" not, "non-hero only."
Thank you very much for the effort in posting the cards (as always
).
My assumptions after reading first time.
Dwarfs: I don't know what to say ... Honor in Death, Master Rune of Defense and the Quest are awesome additions and as usual it will be spoilt for choice whatever strong card you take out or in.
Empire: I'm not into the Knight subtheme but Warriors of Ulric are really good as already shown on the website before. Together with Protect the Empire you can prevent rush most of the time and they also team up well with Helblaster Volley Gun.
High Elf: Expensive or slow Attachments that aren't powerful or you have to build around it for good effect which doesn't seem like a good idea.
Orc: Mad Shamans ... hmmm ... seems quite bad without (multiple) Scrap Heap. At least you don't open yourself to unitcontrol by damaging your own units so much but I don't see them getting played. Maybe in future there will be a way to increase HP for Destruction. Smash Der Beards looks good and works against Warpstone to some extent. Considering the future more development heavy playstyle this card will proove good use. We all praised One Orc's Scrap already in the Card of the Week comments
Chaos: There is nearly nothing that changes much for Chaos at the moment but I will play a disease deck soon just for the fun.
Dark Elf: Good battle pack. Finally Soul Stealer is available and the hero looks playable. Yes it would be better if there was a "At the beginning of each player's turn:..." on the card but it works against Slayer's of Karak Kadrin, too bad dwarf just got a way to do the same via 1 cost tactic. Angi'arie says "target unit's text box": Does targeting a unit and targeting their text box make a difference (Church of Sigmar, Sigmars Intervention)?
I'm looking forward to play Advanced Engineering. Good building for Chaos and it would be cool to play it in a disease or Lord of Change deck. This card has a lot of potential with necromancy and effects that let you shuffle your deck.
I'm thinking the DE hero is better than many give it credit for. It allows the DE army to run all over the HE units that ignore or deflect combat damage. Can lock up Lizardmen or counterstrike units that would normally turn your armies away. Yeah, it has some limited uses only being on your turn, but still good uses.
Hey, new cards! And it's a snow day. Not sure if I'll buy this BP or not...
One Orc's Scrap is really good, and unfortunately means Orcs will probably never get away from Innovation in the near future.
Beast of Rot is not a bad card, but probably needs one more solid disease to be playable. The ones that are trying to kill their targets don't really help. A hammer-nerfing one for early in the game would be nice.
Soul Stealer seems pretty nutsy, but it's just going to be next-turn removal against Dwarves. Even if you run Seeking New Slaves, it can still get trumped. For anybody else, it definitely makes you think twice about playing big guys against DE, especially to places other than the BF. A good second target for Sorceress of Ghrond.
Advanced Engineering would be a nifty draft card, but I don't think it really makes the cut in constructed for either side, certainly not Order. Just too many good supports that give you loyalty. If you had the option of moving both or neither, it would be stronger.
Angi'arie looks decent, but probably not something I'd run in multiple. Randomness w/ toolboxiness tends not to be a combo, hence DE's problems.

Yep. Advanced Engineering is neat-o. I like that the orcs got some love this time. Oh yeah.. and HElves. Them. So much indirect damage.
Cyberfunk has a point with Soul Stealer and other unit steal tactics from DE. In our group there are regularly Witch Hunters around that are powerful against that and lizard stuff.
