Thinking of getting in to the game, couple quick questions.

By Koz, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Hey all, I was contemplating getting in to the game but I had a few questions first. Any help is appreciated.

First question: how many of each set would someone need to buy to get a playset of each card? I have a feeling the answer is 3, and that would be very expensive based on the number of sets that are out for this game.

Second question: is there a reset planned for this game? For those who don't know what I mean, I am referring to a new edition where the card pool is reset with a new base set. If there is not one planned for the near future, what has been FFG's stance on such a thing? It's been my experience that every card game needs a reset at some point because the number of cards gets out of control and the card pool becomes nearly unmanigeable, so I'm curious as to what FFG's stance is on this issue.

Thanks for any answers!

3 each of the Core set, and the chapter packs from the cycles A Clash of Arms, A Time of Ravens, King's Landing, and Defenders of the North

3 Kings of the Sea expansion

1.5 Princes of the Sun expansion

1 each of Kings of the Storm, Lords of Winter expansion and Brotherhood WIthout Banners cycle.

Generally though you don't need playsets of every card in this game. Most of the cards you will need 3x of will come 3x in the chapter packs. Core and Kings of the Sea are the biggest offenders when it comes to wanting playsets of specific cards and having to buy multiple copies.

None planned that they have announced. as there are just under 1 thousand unique cards legal right now I'd guess that a reset would still be a couple years away.
