Hi all...I bought the King in Yellow, but i dont know whic is the best way to play with it the first time, use the "touring" style (I thats hard??) or the permanent way or the Herald

If you play King in Yellow with Hastur, you may need to consider final battle combats draws (or else the herald combination is exploitable for easy final combat victories, basically you just dump the blights onto Hastur, and add two doom with the act card that will probably come up, you'll probably end up fighting him with a minus one or a minus two modifier, i.e. very lame, very easy, defeats the point of the game).

You might want to weed down the item decks also so that they're only KiY items and base game items.

I tried touring style with KiY once. I got so many Next Act Begins cards that a closing victory was trivially easy and a sealing victory was literally impossible before the doom track filled up (fewer than six gates opened the entire game!) I also quickly got both Press Passes, which further unbalanced things. I would do touring style with encounters only, and do permanent style with the mythos and item cards. I also second Avi's suggestion to use the Herald.
