Idea for play community...

By swingjunkie, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

So given the generally sparse community not only in my area, but the game as a whole, I was wondering:

Do people on the forums have, or would anyone be willing to buy cheap, webcams? We could start our own playgroup online if we used Skype and a webcam. And don't say it won't work, cause I've played a few boardgames online already. Also, given that we can all tell most cards by the picture (or can type in what we played that turn for quick reference) I don't see us playing games with one another through video chat to be such a bad idea. Even if you don't have a webcam, you can ge them at W**-M*** for like $15...the cost of a pack. Sounds totally worth it to me....

I'd be down... I've also found OCTGN2 a viable option.

I definitly would be in because I did not get OCTGN to run on either GNU or Mac.

I would be interested in giving this a shot. I think the fact that the game plays quick and does not take up a lot of space, would make it ideal for this kind of play.

I finally made out of my old DV-Camcorder a webcam and so I am ready for some battles.

Just add me as friend and we can share Skype/Jabber contacts.

Ok, so I got a fun new iTouch with Facetime on it. This means I can use Yahoo! Messenger or Facetime (Mac users) to do it. Someone said that Skype can now handle Facetime connection, but I'm not sure yet.

Yahoo!: Fireball_85

Facetime: [email protected]

will try Skype later and post a name when made if necessary

Skype does, infact, work now.

Skype: Swinggamer

but apparently it doesn't matter...

I will add you.

I posted the idea in the german forum and we did some games yet. I works pretty good. If someone is interested in playing against me (or other german guys) add jg_whi in Skype.
