I ran searches, I tried google, I looked in the Guide to Forum use, I tried to find an acronym guide for these forums ... all failed.

So my last resort is asking directly. What does "RAW" mean anyway? I keep seeing that acronym all over the place on these forums.

It means "Rules as written".

As opposed to RAI (Rules as intended)

Good question though. Too proud to just out and ask, I puzzled over it for a few days until I had an epiphany in the shower about what it meant.

Edit: If you have any other internet acronyms you're puzzling over, here's a rule of thumb I find helps out more often than it probably should: The letter F almost always stands for F._._._. (or some conjugation thereof.) =P
