just silly amounts of canceling fun

Hmm, seems like a lot of characters compared to the number of locations. Why 3x Ser Parmen Crane when you don’t have much influence in the deck? And please tell me the 3x Banner for the Storm is a joke…

its obviously character heavy since its not nearly finished.

i fail to see how banner for the storm is a joke considering how awesome giving a bomb character vigilant is.

Banner for the Storm is beauty. You need to give Robert vigilant to get 6 renown in one turn? I think so. You need a character to soak some claim? I think so. Variability is a beautiful thing. Look at Feast or Famine. If you need the gold because you have no board presence, or if you need the claim because you already have it, the options there.

edit: 4 power from renown, he lacks an intrigue icon. Unless hes got court advisor.

or if you get an additional challenge

I don't know if you have seen the 2nd place or the 4th place Baratheon decks from this years world championship that both used 3x Banner for the Storm

I forgot to add the link in that post up there so here it is for your convenience http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_nrep.asp?eidm=11

Hmm, maybe I should reconsider the power of that card then. I've always thought the banner cards were pretty terrible in general.
I was unaware that the deck was unfinished since you didn't post any comments with it. My apologies...

Skowza, I find the Greyjoy one really good to. Intimidate is a fun ability.

Alex, here is what I would look at changing. Take it or leave it. Reasons Attached.

Plot Deck (7)
5-7-1 Fury of the Stag (AE) x1
4-8-2 Retaliation! (ASoSilence) x1
4-4-1 Lineage and Legacy (KotStorm) x1
4-3-1 The Red Wedding (PotS) x1
4-3-1 The Power of Blood x2
2-4-2 Fear of Winter (BtW) x1

-1 Take Them By Surprise
+2 The Power of Blood
...or maybe try to fit in Regroup, that way you can get a duplicate back if you need one.

For characters/Attachments/Locations I've indicated gold cost and arranged them that way. There is definitely a curve problem. You have lots of high gold plots, but you have a lot of high gold cards as well. I tried to even that out a bit.

Characters: 33

Cost - Name - Number of Copies
8 (4) King Robert's Host (TWot5K) x1
5 Eddard Stark N (TTotH) x3
5 Jon Arryn (TTotH) x1
4 Stannis Baratheon N (Core) x1
4 Robert Baratheon N (Core) x2
4 Salladhor's Crew (ASitD) x3
3 Renly Baratheon N (TRS) x2
3 Knight of Flowers (SaS) x1
3 Ser Cortnay Penrose (KotStorm) x1
3 Ser Davos Seaworth (Core) x1
3 Ser Guyard Morrigen (KotStorm) x1
3 Ser Parmen Crane (KotStorm) x2
3 Margaery Tyrell N (ASitD) x1
3 Brienne of Tarth (PotS) x1
2 Maester Cressen (Core) x1
2 Herald of the Stag (SB) x3
1 Bastard in Hiding (KotStorm) N x3
0 Highgarden Refugee (RoW) x3
0 Royal Entourage (TTotH) x3

-2 Brienne of Tarth; she is really good. its hard to take her out. personally pains me a little.
-1 Ser Emmon Cuy; does the +1 Str really matter?
-1 Renly Baratheon; you don't have that many power struggles (3), the only other things it interacts with are the Stormlands (see below) and the Host.
-1 Robert Baratheon; you don't really need three (See Below).
-1 Ser Parmen Crane; you gotta thin somewhere.
-3 Banner for the Storm; I put it under attachments
+3 Herald of the Stag; I added in three of these to even out your curve, and this way you can have less copies of the actual Nobles themselves, while using these to draw into them and things like Loyal Guard to duplicate them (instead of another copy of themselves). If you pull the Nobles in your draw already you can still fetch things like Knight of Flowers or Crane to give you some more saves. If you don't agree with this, don't use it.
+1 Maester Cressen; those Condition attachments are a pain.

I've included the Banner for the Storm in your attachments list, as well as the Loyal Guards, since they function as either dupes or attachments and I think it will represent the way the deck is played better.

Attachments: 9

2 Lightbringer (Core) x1

2 Martial Law (BoRF) x1
0 Banner for the Storm (CtB) x3
0 Loyal Guard (WotN) x3
0 Bodyguard (Core) x1

+3 Banner for the Storm; they give you vigilant for zero gold.
+3 Loyal Guard; they give you saves on your nobles.
+1 Bodyguard; for your non-nobles who still need saving, and your nobles who need saving.
Events: 10
Distinct Mastery (Core) x3
Lords of the Narrow Sea (Core) x2
The Battle At The Wall (EB) x3
Seductive Promise (Core) x2
-3 The Hand's Judgement; I know its always fun to say "no" but your deck is hard on gold as it is, and you don't want to have to choose between potentially cancelling something and not playing characters only to lose an intrigue challenge and have them both discarded.
+3 The Battle At The Wall; you want your power challenges and draw? Here it is.
-1 Lords of the Narrow Seal; It is a super fun card, especially getting rid of your opponent's Blockade or Fear of Winter after they marshalled but before you have collected gold/marshalled. But you only have 12 Noble cards, and Seductive Promise is better.
+2 Seductive Promise: Bomb.
I noticed that most of your income providing locations are one-shot-wonders. I think having a slightly slower income base (less 0 golds that you use once) might be better over the long term.
Locations: 12
2 Storm's End (KotStorm) x1
2 Claw Isle (EB) x1
2 The Stormlands (KotStorm) x1
1 King Robert's Chambers (Core) x1
1 Stormlands Fiefdoms (Core) x3
0 Seat of Power (WotN) x3
0 Aegon's Garden (Core) x2
-3 Narrow Sea; Yah, they rock. But after two turns of Stormlands Fiefdoms you have a net bonus.
+3 Stormlands Fiefdoms; reusable, and they keep the influence for your Rainbow Guard
+2 Aegon's Garden; gold man.
Breakdown;

Non-Characters : 31

So, as you can see, you have a nice split. Plus, the Banners/Loyal Guards give you the ability to fill in more (or less) characters (or attachments) as you need them. The actual deck size is 65 (I think). It is playable, just play test and see what cards you don't want to be pulling and what cards you do.
Anyways Alex, I need to get off here and start studying for my finals. I'll be radio silent until I am home.
Cheers,
Mathias
And please let other people evaluate my reasons and card choices so you get a better overall opinion than just mine. You know I've only had 5 weeks of playing, so the in-game situations that can arise that I think of are a little limited (keyword allusion).

Edit: I think you should look at the Host and the Stormlands when your playtesting. I forgot to add this. They work amazing with Renly, no doubt. But if you arn't consistently getting the three cards together, which I doubt will happen, then you will have relatively "dead" cards. I mean "dead" in the sense that their cost-reward relationship will not be as efficient. Just a thought.

And now I'm actually hitting the books.
