Hey,
I applaud James, Maxx, and FFG for producing the errata, but I feel errata should always be extremely usable above and beyond its other concerns. It is a tool. It should be quick and easy to consult, the information and changes easily accessible. Unfortunately, while pretty, I feel that the official errata fails on this count. The information is buried in the text, and the text is unnecessarily long and not concise enough.
I've just about finished revising the entire errata, and I've made it clearer, easier to use. In the process, the page count has been massively reduced (from 16 down to 9 pages, not including a cover page).
Compare:
Official Errata example:
The Heightened Senses talent on page 117 should include the addition: “Note that Heightened Sight does not add its bonus to Ballistic Skill tests.”
My revised errata example:
117,
Heightened Senses Talent
, add: “Note that Heightened Sight does not add its bonus to Ballistic Skill tests.”
In every case I started with the page number, then what the errata concerns (in Bold so it stands out), and then what needs changing.
All of those changes to the Skills/Talents of the Career Advances in the errata have also been placed in a table, so they can be read at an immediate glance:

Official presentation:
Archivist Advances on page 45 should include the Common Lore (Imperium) skill at a cost of 100 xp, the Common Lore (Tech) skill at a cost of 100 xp, the Literacy skill at a cost of 100 xp, the Trade (Copyist) skill at a cost of 100 xp, and the Light Sleeper talent at a cost of 100 xp.
My presentation (very roughly how it looks in the table which is set up in Pg., Advance, Modifications, S/T, and Cost columns):
45 Archivist + Common Lore (Imperium) S 100 xp
+ Common Lore (Tech) S 100 xp
+ Light Sleeper T 100 xp
+ Literacy S 100 xp
+ Trade (Copyist) S 100 xp
I won't have time to make it pretty, or add nice DH-esque fonts, etc. but if anyone is interested in doing so, and wants a copy of the Word document when I finish it tonight, please let me know.
cheers!
Colin
