Just wanted to take a minute to say good bye to the W:I community, and especially everyone I met at Gencon this year. Today I took steps to sell my cards, I'm quitting the game. There are a few reasons for this, but the main reason is that I haven't been able to play any games since Worlds. No one in my area plays the game or is interested in it. I am sure of that since I work at the local gaming store.

Playing at Gencon was a lot of fun. My team won the teams event. I won the draft event. And, I got 4th in Worlds. I have 3 shiny plaques for my effort and some good memories. I wish everyone well.

I plan on buying the LOTR LCG when it comes out. If it's any good and if anyone plays it locally, I'll probably be playing at Gencon 2011. Come say hi!

I don't know you from Adam, but I look forward to discussing deck building and strategy with you in the LotR forums.

Unfortunately it's up to each of us to develop partners to play with - they're simply not going to just be "there" for us, it wouldn't appear.

It's always sad to see someone leave a game that they obviously enjoyed. I'm sure you will be missed by the community, and I hope the LotR LCG is great. - I'm new to Warhammer: Invasion myself having never played, but should have the core set, some packs from the first and second cycle, and 'Assault' arriving tomorrow or monday and can't wait to start playing with my friends.

Yep. I haven't been playing or buying packs. Community in my area is dead and turned off to the game after the repeated lists of broken cards/decks.

I tried to foster the game's growth, but it was very difficult to do and I no longer have the time or energy to continue trying.

FFG needs to work on their community outreach and event kits. They suck at this.

I hope Warhammer improves over the course of the next cycles. It's a great game. I also hope that FFG looks at Warhammer and doesn't make the same mistakes with LotR.
