The updated FAQ (still not out)

By Drake Leonclaw, in Talisman

But it should be time for it soon, right FFG?! 3 expansions out since the last one and a hefty amount of questions constantly brought up here on the forums, I'd say it's time. Any of you fine people want to help me think of FAQ issues you all think need addressing? Specifically any questions you see brought up here numerous times and no one seems to have a definite answer. The only ones that come to mind to me:

- The Valkyrie resurrecting sacrificial followers to become effectively indestructible.

- The official (as in FAQ official, not a link to an interview) ruling that the Arnkell and the Cloak of Feathers are fair game in the inner region.

There's got to be more, but I'm a little brain dead at the moment.

We don't need a FAQ for this. Arnkell and the cloak work by th same principle that Transference works - it replaces your "normal movement" . Other teleport effects don't work in the Inner region because they replace "rolling a die for movement" which is not done in the inner region. With Transference being covered in th FAQ, the is no sound argument as to why the other two wouldn't work.

As for other FAQ entries, I'd like clarinfication on the treatment of enemy followers when stolen or dropped in the cell. And yes, we need a proper definition of when a follower is said to have been killed.

We had lots of discusion regarding Valkyrie on this forum (also by one of the current game designers Jon New). So now this can be treat as an official clarification  :

Oh, and for those that are having trouble with the wording of the Valkyrie, don't get too hung up on keywords. If you just take a moment to consider what the use of the word "killed" implies, then it will all be fine. A Follower that "shuffles off to the discard pile" or whatever is most likely not killed, though if one is fed to a Vampire or falls down a Chasm, then the chances are that they are most definitely an "ex Follower".

To simplify: A follower can be resurrected when:
1.) Is killed - word " kill " is used on a card or space.
2.) Dies to save character from the loss of life - is discarded in that kind of situations
when a Character can lose a life (Hieromartyr, Warewolf Den, Leper, Reaper, Varthax Dragon Rage, Tumbling Boulder ).

Discarsed is NOT killed, FFG cleared it here:
Dragons are proud creatures though, and Singe will leave if he doesn’t think you are strong enough. If an Enemy Dragon defeats you in battle, you’ll have to discard Singe.

Followers like Warehorse or St. Josephine (which heals a life but not save from it's loss) are not killed.

The main important thing which needs a clarification or errata in FAQ is Alchemist character because with the City expansion it can win in a few rounds... I think that trinkets (as small objects) should not been allowed to alchemise.
