Often I find that becuase a troop attacked they are not able to defend (tapped) and if I burn they're zone they are left to attack after the zone has fallen. It would seem that they still need to be cast into the battle field but the zone is burning can some help me out?
what happens to troops in burning zones? And When you attack are your troops tapped?
It's all in the rulebook.
First, You don't tap your units when you attack !
Then, your zones and your units within them work exactly the same way before and after burning. Units are not destroyed, you're still able to gather ressources/draw/attack when your corresponding zone is burning.
