How is that Civilization gets a FAQ after being out for about a month, and after about half a year Tannhauser's Revised Rules, still don't have one. Does FFG think it doesn't need one, do they think they fixed every thing? If they're waiting for some reason they could at least tell us.
Short angry rant. Re: still no FAQ.
Would be nice to know though some companies don't always pay attention to games where the community resolves certain issues for them.
Yea, also looking forward to a FAQ. My points at the moment would be:
- Castle Kiaz objective descriptions - my version has twice the Katacombs descirption und both plans...
- Ramirez Boncing Betty equipment - how is damage determined for this piece? Rules just state 'as described above' - should this be usual granade damane, or same mechanic as his grenade launcher, or same mechanic as Tala Apony's TNT bundle???
Yeah, I find the lack of a FAQ after half a year to be VERY disappointing, especially given the number of questions which have arisen over that time. Given that they asked their customers to purchase the new rulebook, it really should have more support, especially since there are some major questions left unresolved. Hopefully we'll see something before the upcoming expansions hit. Crossing my fingers for a re-release of Yula as well, though that's a different issue!
Just for some fun...
In late october I asked FFG if we would get some rules answer here is the answer.

Hi,
Earlier this year you released the Revised Manual for Tannhäuser. Since then there was a number of rule questions asked on the forums, waiting for an official answer. There was even a thread dedicated on collecting these: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=48&efcid=1&efidt=334602
Other games were released by FFG since then (Dust Tactics, Batlle of Westeros, Space Hulk - Death Angel, ...) and they all got their FAQ shortly after launch.
What is the status of the Tannhäuser FAQ ?
Thank you

Mail answer from FFG
Hello Pascal,
I'll forward the link to our rules guy - however, our policy has always been to answer rules questions through our rules form, NOT the forums. The rules guys are specifically told NOT to do them there, as can quickly turn into a back and forth discussion of how people wish the rules to be, verses 'Here is the situation, what should we do!'
Rules questions should be submitted here:
http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_faq.asp
As you may see with other games - at times people will make 'collections' of answers threads. Hopefully the thread however will steer the Rules staff toward a better 'Frequently Asked Questions' document!
Thanks for your patience,

Well, that shoud make FAQ releasing faster. I did't know there is form for that.
Good to know there is a place to ask questions. I hope this will build the "database" for an FAQ.
Yeah. This place keeps the game alive. Without it, my games would mainly run on "house-rules" only, not because I do not like the rules, but for the reason that they are so very unclear in some aspects. The fact that some hardcopies of the rulebook have some details not printed while the pdf-versions have them doesn´t help, either.
Hallelujah, the FAQ has been released !
