Some official answers from Corey

By zeb, in Death Angel

Hi,

Some time ago I asked three questions to Corey regarding some rulings. I wish to share his answers here with you, as it may interest other players:

> 1) When a combat team marine does a Move+Action, it can change Facing
> after its move. However, can the other marine that swapped its
> position also change Facing even if he is not part of the same combat
> team? The rulebook says page 17 it says "the player may change the
> facing of any Space Marine in the Combat Team (including those who
> moved)." The "(including those who moved)" makes it ambiguous.
>
> 2) Again page 17: "Each space marine of the card's Combat Team may
> only be moved once during each Move Action." does that mean that if I
> swap the position of two marines of the same team (who chose
> Move+Action), the second marine's move cannot be done, because he

> A1, B1. Then I cannot say: I can move A1, swap with B1 and obtain: A2,
> B1, A1. The rule "move once" would prevent this, because A1 would have

Corey's answers:

1) No. Only the Space Marines using the Move Action card may change facing.
2) No. Each Space Marine can only actively move once, HOWEVER, his position may change due to other Space Marines moving any number of times.
3) GS Swarms automatically merge after all GS movement is complete.

Why didnt you ask him if he knew that Brother Gideon Sucks, the reason for him sucking so badif he had any suggestions on how to fix him so people want to play himat least dont get so bummed when they randomly pick him.

those would be my questions.

Good question :D

Hi

You could see it in an other way, while supporting , Gideon have 50% of chance to survive a swarm even with an Alpha.

In my opinion, the green team have the better statitics for attack purpose: each other team have their kind of "super" marine, green team don't have "super power" ...but ... each green marine have only 33% chance of failure while attacking (only when the die roll 0 or 5), and on a 4, they have a sort of "critical" hit.

On the dice, skulls are on face 1, 2 and 3, so adding a capacity to all greens marines on the 4 raise their stats while attacking , it is a sort of "critical hit", if this capacity have been associated to face that allready had a skull, I would agree with you, but here not only it raise their attack potential, but it does it for all members the teams, so even if you lose one marine, the capacity is still effective.

Honestly, I won't count on this "critical" capacity, but having a team with greater attack potential could be usefull.

I will say that the green team is not my favorite one, the grey one is with their force field is, this stalling capacity is quite usefull.
