It can move and attack in any order. It can move, attack and finish its movement later, too.

hello. i have one more question please.

if i have equipped 1 melee weapon and one ranges weapon, will the offhand bonus of the melee wep. add to the total dmg ?

also one question :P :) )

the description of the IRON SHIELD is that it cancels one dmg being delt to you and it exhausts. does this mean that it cannot be used if a nother monster attacks me in the same turn ? Im asking this coz it;s logical that as long as i wear it, i could cancel 1 wound for every attack.

the shield can only be used once per round. After it is used tap it ( turning it sideways) and cannot be used again to cancel damage until your next turn. However it is still used as armor as normal.

if both weapons are one handed, and you attack with the ranged one, then yes you would get the offhand bonus of the melee wep.

thx tundraa

btw as an ovelord do i start with some cards ? or i have to wait for the 1st hero turn (to get 2 card and doom tokens)

the very first thing in the FaQ:)

A step is missing from the “Game Setup” rules on page 6
of the rule book: The overlord player should start with 3
overlord cards and 0 threat tokens.

You are wrong tundrra! The hero must have two one-handed MELEE weapons to add the offhand bonus!

I stand corrected then.

If a hero has two one-handed Melee
weapons equipped at once, he may
gain the benefits of an Off-Hand
Bonus. The weapon the hero does not
use to attack adds its off-hand bonus to
attacks with the other weapon.

Hello, I come back with one question. in the 1st expansion ( well of darkness) there is a new item " Ring of quickness ". From the description it adds + 1 movement speed.

From this I understand that heroes might move + 1 at any time ( except when being webb'ed) , but does this mean that after declaring a battle action ( where normally you don;t receive any movement points and get to attack twice) with this ring, you might move 1 space? ( it know it sounds silly, but i've had an argue with the dudes i'm playing DESCENT about this )

Yes, you get that movement point if you've declared Battle. You can use it not only for movement but for other purposes such as giving an item to an adjacent hero, or drinking a potion.

Note also that you can always spend fatigue for extra movement points, even when you've declared Battle.(but not if you're Webbed or Grappled)

thx. did now know that.

Does that mean that you can't spend fatigue to drink a potion while you're webbed or grappled?

Yes.
Web and Grapple both have the effect of preventing the affected figure from spending MP. You don't spend a fatigue to drink a potion, you spend a fatigue to gain an MP, and spend that MP to drink the potion.

However, contrary to what zealot12 wrote, you can spend fatigue to gain movement points when grappled or webbed. There's just very little reason to do so because you can't spend those movement points.

Considering the above statements as offhand weapons i have a strange but quite good question i believe.

About that guy with the hook as a hand. We have never drawn him but i wonder since i read again his description. So he gets one extra attack with that no matter what he declared that turn? Like battle make 2 attacks and a extra one with that hook?

Yes indeed. Additionally, as it is classified as a Melee attack by the text on his card he also gets his melee trait dice added to the roll.

whoa and i thought he was lame.... LOL being able to make one more attack with red and green die is something. Ofcourse i guess that is being offset with him not be able to hold axes but magic swords should be enough.

yes, i had a friend who dealed 17 dmg with the hook dude :o ... cmmon - 17 dmg :) ?

How that? GR+2xPowerDice should be max. 9 Damage?

The 17 damage were almost certainly in an advanced campaign.

R (4) + G (3)+ 5 Gold Power dice (15) + Mighty (2) + Blessing (1) + Berserker with a quarter of health remaining (4) + a Robe that allows to carry additional Other items + Belt of Strength (1) + Bracers of Might (2) + Sheath of Might (3) + Follow Through feat (2) = a max of 37 damage with the hook, and I probably forget something.

Things can get quite silly in the advanced campaigns. happy.gif

I have a real quick question..

The number on the monster cards, 2,3,4,5. If you have one overlord and one other player, but he is playing 3 heroes, do you use the #4 cards?

Absolutely. On a quick sidenote IIRC I think the stats for 2 and 3 are exactly the same.
