Just got Invasion and 6 booster packs-Need to Know Questions

By Zazimire, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

I looked thru the top list of topics and didn't see much to help a noob like me. I read a great deal of the more advanced topics that the top topics (newest) had to offer and I have alot of questions.

1.) How many cards can you keep in your hand? I read somebodies post and he never heard anything about this one. I believe you can have as many as you want.

2.) Can you move a defender to the (battle zone) during the capital phase? I have read you need to make a movement type of deck if you want to move them but I'm not sure if you do. Do you need to have a movement card to move troops?

3.) I am only concerned with core decks for now. Is dwarf vs Orc a dwarf win every time? My mother played dwarf and beat me so quickly and I only had cards to play I didn't understand enough to use. She had good combat cards. I read that the core decks can be unforgiving I would love your opinion.

4.) I read you can destroy a players support card (like a warcamp) same as a troop and there was nothing in the rule books to break that down. Can you assign damage to a (place) type card?

5.) What does Currupt do I found it completely useless my first game out.

Can someone help me with these questions? I really need to know before I start another game

1.) How many cards can you keep in your hand? I read somebodies post and he never heard anything about this one. I believe you can have as many as you want.

Answer: There is no hand size limit. Just beware there are cards that can make you discard you hand and draw a new one.

2.) Can you move a defender to the (battle zone) during the capital phase? I have read you need to make a movement type of deck if you want to move them but I'm not sure if you do. Do you need to have a movement card to move troops?

Answer: Ok units can only defend in the zone they are in. So units in the kingdom zone can defend the kingdom zone. Now some units and other card effects will allow units to defend any zone or will allow a unit to move into a new zone in your capital. If you look through the empire cards you will find quite a few of these.

Answer: Core decks are very balanced but learning each race's gimics takes time. And for the record your mom kicks butt gui%C3%B1o.gif

4.) I read you can destroy a players support card (like a warcamp) same as a troop and there was nothing in the rule books to break that down. Can you assign damage to a (place) type card?

Answer: No you may not. However some cards like "Demolition" allow you to "destroy" a surrort or developement in much the same way. It's just damage is never assigned unless you can find a way to make said cards count as both support/developement AND as a unit. And those cards are out there.

5.) What does Currupt do I found it completely useless my first game out.

Answer: Corrupt units may not be assigned as attackers or defenders. Read that carefully as units all ready assigned as such cannot be sent home once on their course so watch your timing. When your opponent declares an attack he/she picks a zone to attack first and then you should play your corrupt cards to remove unit(s) from those available to attack or defend.

Oh and welcome to the game :)
