It's a strange question, and sort of has to do with a notion I have for a scenario. But that aside, besides the Prince and Princess, what other Followers (or even Strangers and Enemies) throughout the core game and expansions would you consider to be either Royal or Noble by implied persona? This does not include AltEnd creatures or any form of NPC.
Noble and Royal Followers, etc.?
Yes, question is strange since we don't know what you're planning.
I don't think that many followers may be considered of noble extraction. In the Base Game I only think of Maiden, but she can just be a pretty and delicate peasant girl kidnapped by a dragon or seeking the casual Unicorn, even thought her presence is well inspiring with a +2 Craft bonus.
Following expansions show a lot of animals, magic creatures, little imps, warriors, adventurers, scholars, physicians... but very few may have an aristocratic trait. Champion comes to mind as a "minor" noble, a knight devoted to a good cause (or perhaps to a king).
Sacred Pool adds some Followers with religious background, but I cannot see Theurgist of Light, Dark Theurgist or Defender of Justice as nobles. They have chosen their side, but are nothing more than priests or fighters.
If you're planning for an expansion based on this, you must add everything cause the nobles in Talisman world use to stay at home.
Nothing concrete in mind, just some notions the spawned the question. You're right, beyond the Prince and Princess, I couldn't really see any of those mentioned falling in the loose category. The Knight is the closest, but as a character doesn't count. The Champion is a maybe, and that's about all. Oh well.
maybe if a castle espansion came out it would add more nobles but thats more of a wish as there is already a castle space
well, we shouldn't hold our breath on an expansion for that one space. We still have two more corner boards to get through.
no i meant it as a corner expansion
Hmmm... it would have to replace one of the corners of old, such as the Forest or City. I'm not sure most players would go for that... but it would be an interesting new twist/alternative.
with all due respect y is everyone so caught up on the old corners if u want to play play the old version if ur playin the revised fourth then u should expect new stuff
Oh, I don't think it is expectation for me. I simply have some notion of what will sell the best. New hasn't always worked out, as what was thought to be new so far were actually selected cards from past edition expansions. Highlands got some internal rework, as did the Dungeon. That is also a way "new" can be done inside of "old."
im just saying though like maybe sometimes there needs to be change to keep a game fresh

FFG can add nobles to a City expansion.
I like to see some events for the Castle in the middle region.
How about a big party where you must paid some gold, to win some goodies there
Everyone will rush to the middle region to get the first goodie that is available.
A little game with bow shooting to roll some dices maybe...
