Sigmarite priest and blessings

By Milkshaker, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey guys :)

At the moment I am playing a sigmarite (warrior) priest. I was wondering if there were any additional blessings of rank 1 (or 2) in the Signs of Faith set, because its kind of a dissapointment that I only have sigmar's hammer to do some cool attack stuff with.

With SH and all the blessings that buff people on long cooldowns, I am finding myself casting spells and then waiting for their cooldowns to run out, which doesnt allow me to do nothing really spectacular in the mean time.

Does SoF remedy this a bit? Do you guys have any other tips to remedy this?

Thanks!

SoF has about three Rank 3 Sigmar's Blessings, 1 beeing some sort of a (huge) weapon buff for the priest next melee strike.

Beeing a Priest you can invoke Blessings (and as an Academic type career with Education access, social too with Charm). Beeing a Warrior Priest you can fight ... if you trained to be. Buy melee attack cards gui%C3%B1o.gif

As a note, only one of Ulric's Blessing is a melee Attack and it's a Rank 3 Blessing, and 2 from Myrmidia, both Rank 3 (1 melee&Blessing, one medium range). So Sigmar's Hammer Rank 1 Blessing is neat.

Blessings are not meant to be, most of the time, direct attacks. That is not their role.
Wizards get more attacks, but not by a lot (Bright Order should have the most).

Hey there Sigmarite Brother in Arms! ^_^

Blessings are neat, but once you Sigmar's Strength up (and get that corona of golden fire) even basic attacks become 'cool attack stuff'. But worry not! One of the key things about Sigmarites is that they generate additional power through crits. So what you want to do is check out some available attacks which generate crits on basic successes (because guaranteeing boons I find is often a tricky proposition, even for only 2 of them).

In particular from personal experience, I recommend you eyeball 'Thundering Blow' and 'Cleaving Strike' which help you eat up the 'cooldown' on your battle buff, and hit mighty hard with good crit potential for that spare power generation.

I do urge you to pick up some non-combat stuff first though (unless your game is a high-pitched combat fest most of the time). I found that Divine Perseverance and a few of the other 'buff' type more 'social' spells have gone alot further in mileage than the strikes personally. Don't think of them as 'dissapointing' but look into what you can do with them.

That said - Signs of Faith has 'Armor of Contempt' and 'Hammer of God'. It has a 'two comet' success line. Yes. It hits. ALOT.

Signs of Faith does not add any additional 1st or 2nd rank spells for Sigmarites, but does add two new career skills to each cult. For Sigmarite priests the two skills are Discipline and Weapon Skill. Weapon Skill should help out with combat quite a bit, and help make Sigmarite priests, in fact all priests a little more differentiated. I recommend SoF, wholeheartedly.
