32. Lt encounter requirements

By Corbon, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark FAQ Update Discussions

Background:
FAQ pg 17
Q: Must a lieutanant or the hero party end their movement on the same location to attack eachother?
A: No.

Purely aside from the spelling and grammatical errors, the question is somewhat strange as this one of the things very explicitly clear in the rules.
RtL pg10
If a lieutenant enters the party’s location he may (but does not have to) attack the party...
If the heroes end their movement in the same area as a lieutenant, they may (but do not have to) attack that lieutenant...

It seems likely that there was more to the question or that the question had other references which were omitted.
The answer also makes no sense and directly contradicts the rules. As written, it could be taken to mean that heroes and Lts may attack each
other at any time through any locations since *they don't have to end their movement in the same location*.

Suggestion:
Simply remove this Q and A.

It seems likely that there was more to the question that was lost but I don't know what it was...

Probably this was directed towards a hero party using the Staff of the Wild or a Lieutenant that can move two trails per week.

I checked earlier versions of the FAQ, the question probably originated from this one (March 2009), also horribly worded:

Q: The rulebook states that a lieutenant or hero must end their movement in the same location to attack each other?
A: No.

Probably worth a clarification for two-trail moves?

ROFL. That is badly worded. No, the rulebook doesn't state this? Technically that isn't even a question, it's a declarative statement with a question mark at the end. =P
