Exponential money gains from early game newspaper retainers. Bank loan exploits. That should get you at least $60, plus your starting cash. You can get through a good amount of the unique item deck with that. And of course, if you get a few more retainers, it'd be even more (it shouldn't be a big deal since you don't really need to worry about spending time to collect clues for gate sealing).

The superstition is so thick that one of my players will begin to speak about a non sequitur topic while shaking his dice...to distract the game from his roll. babeo.gif

It doesn't matter: the game knows what we're doing. We still lose. But at least we're entertaining?
