from what i can see from the book you dont actually get any "free" spell..... it just doesnt list the cost, ie: creat light (2nd point in tree), free access spell (4th point in tree) induce calm (6th point in tree) and so on and so on.....

I guess that's right from a certain POV. When you get (assuming the GM gives you them all) spells in your Path you get all spells up to your level. These spells will include Free Access Spells. So, yeah, technically, not free. However, all the previous comments stand in that the inclusion of the Free Access spells is meant as a way of balancing out the flexibility of buying inidividual spells.

''Free Access'' doesn't necessarily relate to the cost of acquiring the spells, but more to the fact that they are (mostly) freely accessible to any Wizard of any path.

One of the huge problems is the fact that Free Access spells contain some of the more useful, less situational, and most powerful spells of them all.

The other problem is that by buying individual spells, you'll probably run into the fact that the spells of a higher level than you are currently at eat your Zeon like mad, or you just can't cast them.
