why are there no Damned Cities player hand-outs?

By The Laughing God, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

I know there are hand-outs available in pdf on the Support page for Dead Stars and Tattered Fates.

Does anyone know if they can be found anywhere?

Has anyone scanned them in, by any chance, and wishes to make them available? I'm talking about the maps, Inquisitorial briefing and such from the last few pages of Damned Cities.

Thanks!

I have the handouts for tattered fates on pdf (3 pages), but don't know how to upload to this format. (:

Suggestions?

At the risk of being captain obvious, my suggestion is to use a copying machine... either at school, work, etc. be discreet ;)

Yeah I know what you mean ... I dread that moment when you're immersed in daemons, dismal texts, bio-heresies and she-assassins in leather outfits and someone comes up to you at the copier ... "whatcha doing?" :)

Absolutely! The copying machine in the hallway in front of my office had a paper jam last week just in the moment I dicreetly tried to copy the picture of Myrchella Sinderfell from DotDG (the cover itself is embarassing enough btw) and I had to check every opening of the copier to see where the copy stuck while the young female office assistant from the opposite office came around the corner. I blushed like a school boy being caught stealing a chewing gum from the kiosk. Oh dear... sonrojado.gif

Horribly off-topic: I was once printing the Egyptian Book of the Dead for a D&D Al-Qadim campaign and the print was intercepted by the sour, senior communications manager down the hall. Handed it to me with "This has to be yours..."

Somewhat related: I handed my players a few printouts from the DotDG book as handouts when they started Damned Cities. The one on page 14 is of course the obvious one. Their Inq said "I certainly hope these are not related to your task at Sinophia" And that did of course make them horribly nervous.

It is quite possible to find scans of the books in pdf-form on the internet if you have access to a printer but no copy-machine. I can't imagine it being either immoral or illegal to download copies of books you have bought.

I actually typed up my own hand out for the beginning of Damned Cities. I took the published version and made some suitable tweaks to the script to be better suited to my group and their previous experiences. Player handouts are generally a popular thing and really enhance certain game sessions, so I have been trying to print them out or generate my own when the situation warrants it. Make sure to do some web searches or personal scans of assorted Imperial and Inquisitorial icons, logos and so on, then stuff them in a folder on your computer: This way when you make your own handouts you can paste suitable markings onto the document you just painstakingly wrote out. gran_risa.gif
