I'm trying to build a better Targ burn deck and I'm starting to wonder if burn is becoming obsolete. Given the popularity of Brotherhood and Wildling decks, how do I build a burn deck to compensate? Sure, I can add 3x Nightmares and hope that I can blank Beric when I have enough burn to get rid of him, but how does one deal with those giant Wildlings? Flaming-Pitch Tower + Assassin + Forever Burning + Dragonpit still only amounts to -8 str, and a Wildling Horde with the agendas has 9 str. There are some burn events, but that's an awful lot of cards to just kill off one character. Of course, I can always Valar or Westeros Bleeds (if I can get the 4 influence), but there's a limit to how many times I can pull that off, and there are an awful lot of giant Wildlings. Can anyone give me some advice here? Thanks!!
Help on a Burn Deck?
Burn the weenies, look for other ways to kill the big ones?

Best way to take down the larger strength characters is to burn away their support characters of lower strength then hit them with military claim, deadly, or simply resets.
Ok, but what if that's not really a possibility? My opponent has 2 Wildling Hordes out with a Training Grounds... they are deadly and there is no way I'm going to beat that in a military challenge. Does this mean my only option is trait manipulation (give them Raven then shuffle them back in with Carrion Bird for ex) or to hit him with a Valor/Westeros Bleeds and pray he/she doesn't have a Narrow Escape in his/her hand? Any other suggestions at all? Thanks.
as red Terror suggests - ti comes down to Claim. Targ has ALWAYS had rpoblems with big armies - stark has been a problem for eyars in this ragrd. the best way is to kill off their support wiht burn and Claim tehm.
Two armies you say/ If he attacks with tehm - he is knelt out and you hit him with Claim 2. If he defends, you stealth them and still get them with Claim. eventually you will need to reset and use mass rmeoval if they get the muscle out in challenge pahse to keep you down. honestly - high STr characters are and always will eb an issue. Taht's why i believe in running expandable chaarcters and having resets in depth.

Thank you. I almost changed the question to "how has Targ traditionally dealt with Stark armies" to get some additional responses.
The problem I was encountering involved the Wildling player running all 3 agendas and having a Training Grounds in play, hence I can't stealth him and his armies don't kneel to attack. I guess mass resets is the best answer, though I did get lucky in my last game against Wildlings, drew a MwnK and Reinforcements on first turn, stole his Wildling Horde then discarded his other with my intrigue challenge.

Unless they play Narrow Escape.... just saying.... happened to me 2x at Calicon (Once in the last round of swiss, and again to the same player in the semi finals).
If you're playing a Targ Burn deck with Dragon Pit, you can always use the Traitorous Crows to pick off the armies you can't burn. Even if you're not playing vs. Wildlings, they can sit in shadows to fuel Dragon Pit (Not the best use, but not completely "dead" cards).
